Yesterday was a very special day for our little girl. She took her first communion with our church. For Catholics, communion is a time where we share in the body and blood of Christ. Father Gary told us in the homily yesterday that communion feeds us, and reconciliation prunes away the bad (just like grape vines have to be pruned). It was a beautiful HOT day here, and after church we had a house full!!! We cooked 33 hamburgers and 21 hot dogs of which there were 2.5 hot dogs left after everyone left!
